Two analytics cookies, only if you agree

ChocolateHQ sets no cookies at all unless you accept the analytics ones, and none is set before you answer.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets the two cookies below to count how many people read each page. They do not identify you, advertising features and Google signals are turned off, and nothing is shared for ad personalisation. If you decline, or simply ignore the request, none of them is set and the site behaves identically.

_ga — Distinguishes one browser from another. Kept for 2 years.
_ga_9M3FRTXXVN — Keeps session state for this property. Kept for 2 years.

Local storage is not a cookie

A unit preference, if you set one, is kept in your browser’s local storage. It is never sent to a server, it does not identify you, and it is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Third parties

One: Google Analytics, and only after you accept it. The content security policy names Google’s two hosts explicitly and permits nothing else, so no other third-party script, font, pixel or embed can load even if one were added by mistake. Declining leaves the policy irrelevant, because nothing is requested.
