Stone fruit
Peach, apricot, plum. A middle register between bright red fruit and concentrated dried fruit, and comparatively uncommon.
Stone fruit notes sit between the sharp and the concentrated ends of the fruit range: rounder than raspberry, fresher than raisin. They are less commonly reported than either, which makes them a genuinely distinguishing descriptor when they appear.
Northern Peruvian material and some Ecuadorian lots are described this way most often.
